ABSTRACT

Hoists come in different sizes and type, and fordifferent purposes too. It is a mechanical deviceespecially designed to lift any kind of load vertically.They can either be manually or electrically operatedand is widely available in the market.

The design relates to an improved hoisting apparatusthat, through the application of multi-sheaved hookblock and equalizing sheave, reduces the shaft torquerequired to lift a load with respect to that seen inconventional hoisting systems.

ARTS AND FUNCTIONS:MOTOR

n electric motor converts electrical energy intomechanical energy. The motor to be used should is ahigh starting torque, crane duty, totally enclosed 3phase squirrel cage induction.
