Publihed BiWeekly Net Iue: March 13Deadline: March 6“I CAN’ HEAR YOU”
First o all, thanks to Te Jet or stepping in and helping out withthe last Ravings. Except that his head swelled three sizes and theadditional demands or a kibble increase, he is taking his newame all in stride. For the past couple o weeks I have had a wax blockage inmy right ear. So I checked the Internet or a reliable methodo cleaning it, without suering permanent hearing loss. Tesuggested method was using mineral oil to soen and eventually get rid o the wax. Aer several days o treatment, the right earseemed a bit better but the le ear (which I didn’t treat) seemedto suer rom hearing loss. While I discovered that there weresignicant benets to having impaired hearing ... such as nolonger having to pretend to ignore the Missus ... it has also beenan annoying experience, as there is occasionally, a person that Iactually want to listen to.Hating to impose on the health care system, I nally brokedown and visited the doctor. Unortunately, the wax was soimpacted that she wanted me to use the mineral oil or anotherweek to soen everything up so it could be blasted out. I will very shortly be going back and hopeully beore I nish thisRavings, my hearing will be ully restored. Assuming that my hearing does return to normal, I need to nd a way to have thedoctor sign a note indicating that my hearing has, however,suered a permanent change. I won’t be able to hear any soundsin the lower range. Te lower range is dened as sounds thatcome rom someone ve oot tall or shorter. Hearing will work perectly or all higher ranges o sound.WOW, just got back rom the doctor’s oce and I CAN HEAR!!!Ooops, sorry dear ... What did you say?? Ahhh heaven!!Unortunately, the doctor was unwilling to conrm thepermanent loss o low range hearing, so I will have to continueto rely on the old stand-by … selective hearing!!
