 The Green Room OU Advocacy Day Instructions
We are the "The Green Room," a constituency of Ohio University studentswho have one single-minded goal: to bring the knowledge of the academy tothe public. Though we value what we are able to do ourselves, our real power is in what we are able to help others to accomplish, and that is why we are reaching out—we want to help. To this end, the Green Room iscommitted both to diligent scholarship on issues of contemporary relevance,and to sharing what we discover with the world.
1.)
First, login to your blogs on blogger.com. After you login, copy theurl of your blog essay from the browser. Then, go to
from your dashboard on blogger (by clicking the “B” in theupper right hand corner. Next, click on the bright orange penciltab to create a post for your multimodal essay; you will put yourtitle in the “post title” section at the top of the page, and it willlook something like this: “Repeal Citizen’s United Now!” By: BryanLutz. *Please put your title in quotation marks to set it apart fromyour name. Finally paste the copied link to your blog into thetemplate, much as you did for the RD of this assignment, and postyour link to

. *Please make sure that you use the“link” button to create a hyperlink to your multimodal essay.

Second, go to the class Blackboard page and click on the “essays”tab. Under the Multimodal Essay heading there are two links:Letter to NGOs” and “G.NGO.Links.” Right-click on each of these and click on “open link in a new tab.”

 The document titled “Letter to NGOs” will serve as a template forsharing your essay with audiences outside the classroom. You canview this document in your browser, or download it by click on the“download” tab in the menu to the right. This document will helpyou to share your essays for your three chosen blogs, as well asother organizations that are eager to hear from you. For yourchosen blogs, post the provided template (or variation thereof)into the comments section of their blog post. Think of this as aresponse to having read the blog authors argument. *You do nothave to follow this script verbatim, but do use it as a guide forengaging your audience.
