Sizes: S [M] Hand measured at knuckles 7.0inches [8.0 inches] Materials: Worsted weight about 2.15 [2.25] ounces H and I crochet hooks Note: Ch 2 and ch 3 at beginning of rounds counts as hdc and dc. Left Glove Foundation chain: With I hook, ch 26 [28], join with slip stitch in first chain. Rnd 1: Beginning of ribbed cuff, ch 2, hdc in each ch, ending slip stitch around ch 2, as if to front post. (26 [28]) Rnd 2-7: Ch 2, *bphdc, around next hdc, fphdc around next hdc*, repeat ending with slip stitch around ch 2, as if to front post. On rnd 7 sl st in ch 2. (26 [28]) Rnd 8: Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in each st, join with sl st in first sc. Mitt should measure approximately 2.5-3.5 inches from foundation chain. Optional Thumb: Using a size H hook Rnd 1: Join yarn with a sc in the first skipped sc of Rnd 14. Space 12 [14] sc around opening, 1 sc in each of the 5 [6] skipped sts and the unused loop of ch, sc in the sides of the sc in rnd 15. 2

Rnd 2-3: Ch 2, hdc in ea st around, join with slip stitch in top of ch 2. (12 [14] hdc) Rnd 4: Sc in each st around. Fasten off. Weave in ends. (12 [14] sc) Mitt length can be adjusted by working more rounds on cuff (Rnds 1-7). Special Stitches Popcorn stitch using 5 dc The popcorn can be created with a varying number of stitches in the work. Follow the instructions for the number of stitches used in your pattern. To work popcorn stitch in this version, work as follows. Popcorn (pc): *[Yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo, pull lp through, (yo, pull through 2 lps) twice], rep from * 5 times, drop lp from hook, insert hook from front to back through top of first st made, place dropped lp on hook and pull through st,

Front post hdc For front post half double crochet (fphdc): Work half double crochet around post of stitch in row below, inserting hook from right to left and from front to back to front around post.

Back post hdc For back post half double crochet (bphdc): Work half double crochet around post of stitch in row below, inserting hook from right to left and from back to front to back around post.

I know these pictures of stitches look like double crochets but the concept for front and back post half double crochets is the same as for front and back post double crochets. The instructions are for front and back half double crochets.
