Shooting script

Titles appear behind in front of a black background. They will appear for approximately 10 seconds, at which point they will fade out. At this point the screen will be black for 2 seconds and the movie will commence. Close-up of protagonist s eye while he wakes up in his bedroom. The alarm goes off in the background and at that point the protagonist will smack the alarm on the floor which will be seen through another close-up. Protagonist will then sit on the edge of the bed with his hands on his head as if to insinuate that he has a headache or is trying to forget something. This will be seen through a medium shot which will also capture the mess that his room is in, there will be alcohol bottles and dirty clothes lying everywhere. The protagonist will then proceed to look at a picture of his exgirlfriend and that will be done on an initial eye line match and a further extreme close-up. There will be a subsequent cut to the protagonist taking a shower. There will be a match on action of the shower handle turning on the shower and a low angle shot of the water dripping out. Following on there will be a zoom out of the action as the protagonist proceeds to taking a shower. There is a mid shot that sees the protagonist at the left of the frame. The camera will reveal the numerous scars that the protagonist has. This will create an enigma to the character. The following cut will see the protagonist lying on the bath attempting to scrub his hands of the blood. Similar to psycho there will be a graphic match in which the blood trickling down the drain will lead to the circular image of gel that the protagonist is using to prepare himself for work. While readying himself for work the protagonist will put on his suit. The audience will see this through a point of view shot. We will be able to see the protagonist looking directly at the mirror. Through this there s a chance of seeing the protagonists expression which will be a dire and angry one. Throughout all these scenes, at appropriate times the titles will roll. Identical to the title, they will appear on as white text on a black background. A long shot will is given when the protagonist is arriving at his place of work; there will cuts such as tracking side shots. Wearing his suit and over coat while carrying a suitcase and waking in the morning will allow us to add non-diegetic orchestral music. This will fluctuate with the cuts, the faster the cuts the faster the music. Later in the evening when leaving work, the protagonist will be walking down a lonely and deserted street when he will spot and old friend. We will see the friend in and over the shoulder shot. He will approach his friend at which point they will exchange dialogue. Shot reverse shot will culminate in the finale that his friend reveals that his ex girlfriend is dead. The protagonists reaction will be captured in first a medium shot, close-up and finally and extreme close-up. The screen will then go black like in the introduction and the opening sequence is over.
