Reflections & Preparation for Worship

“Not until the law has bruised and smitten us will we admit our need of the gospel to bind up our wounds. Not until the law has arrested and imprisoned us will we pine for Christ to set us free. Not until the law has humbled us evento hell will we turn to the gospel to raise us to heaven.”~ John Stott“The true use of the law is this, that I know that by the law I am being brought to an acknowledgment of sin and am being humbled, so that I may come to Christ and be justified by faith.”~ Martin Luther “To see the Law by Christ fulfilledTo hear His pardoning voiceChanges a slave into a childAnd duty into choice.”~ William Cowper
