2 And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whomthey have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land. They have also cast lotsfor my people...(Joel 3:2-3, NKJV).17... Your land shall be divided by survey line; You shall die in a defiled land; And Israel shall surely beled away captive From his own land (Amos 7:17, NKJV)I used the KJV for Lamentations 4:16 as it correctly translated the Hebrew word as divided. The is term
translated as “scattered them” by the NKJV in Lamentations, but it is the same Hebrew word (Strong’s2505) used in Daniel 11:39 translated as “divide”.
It is also the same Hebrew word used in Ezekiel 5:1 where the hair (apparently representing theU.S.A., etc.) is divided and then will "scatter to the wind"--hence indicating that the people thatsurvive will end up in many lands (and not in a good way):1 "And you, son of man, take a sharp sword, take it as a barber's razor, and pass it over your head andyour beard; then take scales to weigh and divide the hair. 2 You shall burn with fire one-third in themidst of the city, when the days of the siege are finished; then you shall take one-third and strikearound it with the sword, and one-third you shall scatter in the wind: I will draw out a sword afterthem...12 One-third of you shall die of the pestilence, and be consumed with famine in your midst;and one-third shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter another third to all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them...8 Yet I will leave a remnant, so that you may have some whoescape the sword among the nations, when you are scattered through the countries. (Ezekiel 5:1-2,12;6:8).13 "Behold, therefore, I beat My fists at the dishonest profit which you have made, and at thebloodshed which has been in your midst. 14 Can your heart endure, or can your hands remain strong,in the days when I shall deal with you? I, the Lord, have spoken, and will do it. 15 I will scatter youamong the nations, disperse you throughout the countries, and remove your filthiness completelyfrom you. (Ezekiel 22:13-15)
