Circulatory and Respiratory System
Outline of DayDate: Tuesday, 2/28/2012
Connect the circulatory system to the respiratory system
Learn the parts of the respiratory system
Cause and effect of the respiratory system and/or circulatory system
Students will be able to explain and identify parts of the circulatory and respiratory system.
Students will be able to display and explain how the circulatory and respiratory systems are related.

Handouts ready 
Bell work (2 min)
Students will complete the following T-chart:How humans obtain oxygen (1 way) How frogs obtain oxygen (2 ways)
Respiration Video (3 min)

 The students will write down on the bottom of their T-Chart from bell work what are two thingsthey learned during the video.
Harmful to Respiratory System (10 min)
 This will be done on the same sheet as the T-Chart and video facts.
Students will do a quick write for 5 minutes on something harmful to the respiratory system. Whether that is smoking, working in a factory, or something else it has to somehow have done orcould do harm to the respiratory system. Students will be told just to write about it, whether it be astory that they know about a personal experience or warnings they have learned before.
 A discussion will following with the teacher asking the students to share something from their quick  write.
 The discussion can continue into taking care of your respiratory system.
Connecting it to Circulatory system (15 min)
 The students will have their heart drawings from the day before handed back to them.
On the opposite side we will make a model of the lungs together as a class. Make sure to include:-
