Alaska.As a preliminary matter, Alaska does
not
havea presidential primary,
and
therefore
no
presidential candidates
appear on
the
primary
electionballot.Therefore,
your
complaint
about
President
Obama's
eligibility is
not
applicableto the
primary
election.Second,the procedures
you
reference
in
yo
ur
complaint
regarding
challengesto
candidate
eligibility
do
notapply
tocandidacy fornationalexecutive office
and
such a challenge
cannot
be
addressedthrough
thoseprocedures.Specifically,note
that
the namesof presidential candidates fromrecognized political partiesare
submitted
to the divisionof electionsfollowing the national
party
conventions.
The
statehas no involvementinthe parties'
candidate
selectionprocess.Thereis
nothingin statelawthat
allowsthe Divisionof Electionstointervene
inthe
selection of presidentialcandidates.Forfurther reference,see 6 AAC 25.260
and
AS15.25.010-AS 15.25.200
and
AS
15.30.010-AS15.30.100,which
wehave
enclosed for
your
convenience.The Division of Electionshas beenfollowinglitigation
regarding
theissue of
PresidentObama's
eligibility for officein
other
states.

understanding
is
that
the claims
regarding
President
Obama's
lackof eligibility forthepresidency are false
and
that
no
courthasfoundany
merit
in them
