2009-2011 Student Representative
The two years as a Student Representative required me to be outgoing, capable, approachableand committed. I had to show engagement and enthusiasm, while keeping in contact with coursetutors about any ongoing problems. I attended training sessions to learn how to convey myself and represent my fellow students.
In 2006 I went on an exchange year to Australia on my own. It was a scholarship and organisedby the Rotary club. To gain the scholarship I had to go through various interviews, whichprovided me with great interview experience. My year in Australia gave me confidence in anearly age, made me more sociable and outgoing. Standing on my own feet in a young age helpedme to be the independent person I am today and gave me people skills I can use in my journalism career in both broadcast and writing. In 2007 I moved to England with my family, here I attended the two years of A levels at QueenElizabeth Grammar School. Over the two years my English language improved to highacademic and I am now bilingual.
