The Virtues of Surah Al-Ma'idah; When It was Revealed
At-Tirmidhi recorded that Abdullah bin `Amr said,"The last Surahs to be revealed were Surah
Al-Ma'idah
 and Surah
Al-Fath
.'' (Surah 48)
 
At-Tirmidhi commented, "This

is
HasanGharib
.''and it was also reported that Ibn Abbas said that the lastSurah to be revealed was,
ُْ َ ْ اَو ِ ا ُْَ  ءَ  اَذِإ
(Whenthere comes the help of Allah and the Conquest). (Surah110)Al-Hakim collected a narration similar to that of At-Tirmidhi in his
Mustadrak
, and he said, "It is
Sahih
 according to the criteria of the Two Sheikhs and they didnot record it.''Al-Hakim narrated that Jubayr bin Nufayr said,"I performed
Hajj
once and visited Aishah and she saidto me, `O Jubayr! Do you read (or memorize)
Al-Ma'idah

I answered `Yes.'She said, `It was the last Surah to be revealed.Therefore, whatever permissible matters you find in it,then consider (treat) them permissible. And whateverimpermissible matters you find in it, then consider(treat) them impermissible.'''Al-Hakim said, "It is

according to the criteria of the Two Sheikhs and they did not record it.''Imam Ahmad recorded that Abdur-Rahman bin Mahdi relatedthat Muawiyah bin Salih added this statement in the last
Hadith
,I (Jubayr) also asked Aishah about the Messenger of Allah's conduct and she answered by saying, "TheQur'an.''
 
An-Nasa'i also recorded it.
ِ ا ِَ ـْ ا ِ ّ ا ِْ ِ 
 
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the MostMerciful.
ِدُ ُ ْِ  ْاُ ْوَأ ْاُ َ ﻡاَء َیِ ا َ  یَـَ ی
5:1 O you who believe! Fulfill (your) obligations.
َ ﻡ ِإ ِمَ ْ ﻥا ُ َ ِ َ  ْُ َ  ْ ِ ُأ ِ ُ ﻡ َْ َ  ْُ ْ َ َ  َ ْ ُ ی  ٌمُُ  ْُ ﻥَأَو ِْ ا
Lawful to you (for food) are all the beasts of cattleexcept that which will be announced to you(herein), game (also) being unlawful when youassume Ihram.

 یِُ ی َ ﻡ ُُ ْ َ ی َ  ا نِإُ
Verily, Allah commands that which He wills.
 
َْ  ا ََو ِ  ا َِ َ َ  ْا ِ ُ ﺕ َ ْاُ َﻡاَء َیِ ا َ  یَـَ ی َماََ ْ ا َْَ ْ ا َ ﻡاَء َو َِ ـَ َ ْ ا ََو َىْَ ْ ا ََو َماََ ْ ا َْ ِرَو ْِ  ر  ﻡ ًْ َ  َنُ َ ْ َ یًﻥ
5:2 O you who believe! Violate not the sanctity of the symbols of Allah, nor of the Sacred Month, norof the Hady brought for sacrifice, nor the garlands,nor the people coming to the Sacred House(Makkah), seeking the bounty and good pleasure of their Lord.
نَأ ٍمْَ  ُنََ  ْُ  َ ﻡِْ َ ی ََو ْاوُـَ ْ ﺹَ  ْُ ْ َ َ  اَذِإَو ْاوُَ ْ َ ﺕ نَأ ِماََ ْ ا ِِ ْ َ ْا ِَ  ْُ آوَ ﺹ
But when you finish the Ihram, then hunt, and letnot the hatred of some people in (once) stoppingyou from Al-Masjid Al-Haram (at Makkah) lead youto transgression.
ِْ ِا َ َ ْاُ ﻥَوَ َ ﺕ ََو ىَْ  اَو ْ ا َ َ  ْاُ ﻥَوََﺕَو ِناَوْُ ْ اَو
Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa, butdo not help one another in sin and transgression.
ا ْاُ  ﺕاَوِبَ ِ ْ  ُیِَ  َ  ا نِإ َ  
And have Taqwa of Allah. Verily, Allah is severe inpunishment.
