Audio-visual stimulation is an influence on the psycho-emotional state of the patient via specialsound frequency and video signals.
The receiving of these signals via the senses alters the state of brainelectrical activity. By changing signal frequency it is possible to activate or decelerate various mental processes.Humans are automatically inclined toward audio-visual and tactile stimulation via natural factors, e.g. by concentratingon sparks in flames, candles or fireplaces (visual stimulation), on sounds produced by the crackling of firewood, onthe noise of waterfalls (audio stimulation). The spectral composition of these influences is similar to the rhythm of thebrain when it is in a calm, relaxed state (so-called “alpha state” with a dominance of frequencies ranging from 8 to 12Hz).Such influences enable the blocking of the impulse generating structures of the brain damaged due to the use of narcotics, which is manifested by pacification, relaxation, the absence of obsessive thoughts, or recall of narcotics. The activation of the deceleration system offers complete rest, the influx of strength, contributes to the resolution of accumulated problems, the removal of disturbing thoughts. Audio-visual stimulation technology offers the unique possibility to control the psycho-emotional state of the patientwithout medicaments, without the influence of additional apparatuses, of suggestion, and without creating addiction.1. Information therapy. The human brain is a supercomputer which constantly receives new information, processes it,makes decisions that determine our actions, our manner of thinking, our behaviour. As in computers, in addition tobrain cells (hardware) there is also higher nerve activity – the entirety of reflexes, habits, behaviour stereotypes, valuesystems, voluntary mechanisms (software). Like in a computer harmful information can disturb the activity of thesystem, therefore the use of narcotics also represents in the human psyche a type of virus which destroys both braincells, and the personality of the patient. To re-establish the normal functioning of the brain requires an antivirus –information therapy. The purpose of this method consists of processing information to increase its value and for thebrain to accept it in the best possible manner. Antinarcotic presentations are processed along the principles of neuro-linguistic programming, are amplified using the 25 frame technology, and are transferred to the patient with greatspeed. This results in a change of behaviour, in increased motivation not to use narcotics, in a renewal of healthyinterests, of desires.
