CACTUS LEAGUE ACTION:
The Padres enter today’s game at2-5 and are looking for their second-straight victory today...over theSpring slate, the Friars play a total of 34 games in Arizona beforeheading home for a workout on 4/2 followed by two games againstthe Royals (4/3 at Petco Park and 4/4 in Lake Elsinore)...the club’sCactus League schedule includes
ve remaining split-squad games(March 14, 18, 24, 27, 31).
LAST TIME OUT:
The Padres picked up their second win of theSpring, topping the Los Angeles Angels by a score of 6-3…LHPClayton Richard made his Spring debut, his
rst game action sinceJuly 4 of last season, and worked 2.0 innings allowing one run ontwo hits…San Diego pulled ahead with a three-run seventh inningon a solo shot from Jaff Decker and a two-run shot by Matt Clark.
TODAY’S STARTER:
RHP Dustin Moseley takes the hill for hissecond Spring start…made his Spring debut on Monday againstthe Mariners, working 2.0 innings and allowing two runs on two hits.
ON THE MEND:
INF Logan Forsythe underwent a procedure yes-terday, performed by Dr. Heinz Hoenecke at the Scripps SurgeryCenter Carmel Valley, to have a bone in his left foot removed…recovery time is estimated at six to eight weeks, with Forsythe ex-pected to return to the Peoria Sports Complex tomorrow morning.

The Little League season has kicked off in SanDiego, with players all over the county sporting their new Padresuniforms thanks to the club’s Youth Baseball Initiative...the programhas supplied over 11,600 Little Leaguers with Padres uniforms,representing 20 different styles from throughout the club’s history.
