A first person POV. The story is read directly from (MC) Tegan Hathaway's journal. He tells a story about how he met a clinically insane boy named Ember in the bookstore he works in and how they came to be friends. Over time, they helped each other help themselves. However, two years down the line, Tegan is awaken one night only to be told that Ember has committed suicide. A young love in distress, Tegan barely survives for the next two years, in agony and guilt over his lost friend, until he decides to write to Ember in the journal to ease the pain of his memories...
