VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

An International Humanitarian Organization urgently requires the services of an experienced and dynamic person for the following position.

Nutrition Manager

(Islamabad based)

20,000 PKR plus Rs. 300/day for delivering First Aid Training in the communed) Job summery: Nutrition Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, management, continuing development, monitoring and supervision of activities of organizations nutrition program and also support in writing nutrition based proposals, liaise and coordinate with donors.

Main Responsibility: 1. Contributes to the planning of nutrition related interventions in collaboration with relevant technical departments of organization provincial, field office and country office including community needs assessments, conceptualizing potential projects relating to nutrition activities. 2. Provide technical support in all nutrition related interventions ensuring that JUH provides quality nutrition services that meet SPHERE and other international standards. 3. Designs nutrition activities with the outmost sensitivity for the safety and the well-being of beneficiaries and with regard to the local contexts. 4. Promotes and works to expand community capacity on nutrition with sensitivity to the political, social and cultural contexts; maintains a positive constructive relationship with the local Ministry of Health, I/NGO and communities during planning and implementation of nutrition interventions. 5. Prepares operational setup plan with nutrition team and start-up activities. 6. Coordinates with MoH authorities, UN agencies and other partners for securing necessary supplies and support relating to nutrition interventions. 7. Ensures safety of nutrition supplies during storage and distribution. 8. Provides capacity building for nutrition team, technical support through organization of training and other relevant learning activities. 9. Involves in recruitment of nutrition team including preparation of ToRs, short listing of candidates and interviews. 10. Ensures all nutrition activities are being supervised and necessary tools for supervision is available and being used during supervision and monitoring. 11. Provides regular technical supervision and on the job training to nutrition staff implementing nutrition program for continuous quality assurance.

12. Ensures minimum reporting requirements of activities at all levels and necessary reporting tools are available, staffs are trained and reports are accurate and reliable. 13. Prepares high quality reports for internal and external audiences with adequate analysis of nutrition data reflected in the reports. 14. Provides technical inputs for setting up a monitoring and training system for nutrition program activities at the provincial and field level. 15. Prepares and monitors budget and expenditures relating to nutrition interventions implemented at provincial operation areas

Job Requirement:
Master in Nutrition /MBBS with MPH. Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience in an INGO. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are desired. Proficiency in MS Office Application
