INTRODUCTION AND WELCOMING REMARKS1MR. PAHL: Good morning, everyone. Those of2you who are coming back for your second day, welcome3back. Those of you who are new to our program today,4welcome. We are the FTC and the Searle Center here at5Northwestern University School of Law with our6roundtable debt collection program to discuss debt7collection litigation and arbitration.8Yesterday we focused on debt collection9litigation, and today we're going to turn our focus to10debt collection arbitration. I'd like to turn the11program over to Julie Bush who will give some12housekeeping remarks and introduce our first speakers.13MS. BUSH: Thank you for coming. I'm really14glad to see so many people here today.15I think we have an exciting program planned for16you. We have some top-notch speakers on a range of17subjects, and we're going to be exploring the nature of18arbitration and debt collection.19A couple of reminders.
