Ihave notice within the company the affirmative action policy has not being carried out properly. There have been several occasions where discrimination was noticed in thecompany and I would like to make sure that every manager will follow the same guidelinesand goals.First I would like to recommend a class for managers to help prevent discrimination.Many times managers or employees are not aware that he or she can discriminate withouthaving any knowledge. The company will begin a training class for the manager’s andsupervisors to make sure he or she has the understanding of the employee’s rights andmanagerial obligations. The training will include;
The prohibitions covered in the various EEO statutes.
Guidance on how to respond to complaints of discrimination
Procedures for investigating complaints
Suggestions for remedying inappropriate behavior I believe the program will help prevent and correct areas of past or present discrimination.Regards,Harvey Stevens
