GUIDELINES TO INVIGILATORS 1.

Please confirm the date of invigilation duty and session from the consolidated duty list available in the Department Office/Exam cell

2. You are requested to report to the Chief Superintendent according to the timings given below: EXAM CELL: A Block First floor REPORTING TIME: EXAMINATION TIMINGS: Forenoon Session: 9.30am [10.00am to 1.00pm] Afternoon Session: 1.15pm [2.00pm to 5.00pm] 3. As per the directions of the management, invigilators should avoid carrying their cell phones to the examination hall. 4. Make sure that suitable alternate arrangement is made well in advance when it is unable to do the duty. Send the copy of the alternate arrangement to the Chief Superintendent at least one day before the duty date. Do not take leave without making alternate arrangement. This absence will be viewed very seriously. 5. After reporting for the invigilation duty get the following details from the Chief Superintendent. Room Number and location Number of candidates allotted in the Exam hall Name of the examination, branch, course, semester, batch and Regular/ Arrear details. Collect the answer sheets as per the requirement of the hall. The question papers will be issued by the respective Chief / Additional Chief Superintendent. 6. Please be in the Examination Hall at least 20 minutes before the commencement of examination. 7. Instruct the candidates to keep note books, guides, and Programmable calculator and text books outside the examination hall. 8. Please stand at the entrance of the examination hall to check and admit only the candidates who have the hall ticket for the current examination and ID card Instruct others to report to Chief Superintendent Office for duplicate Hall Ticket. Temporary ID card also may be permitted which is to be got from the respective HOD and also check the students whether they having any unnecessary items. . 9. Issue the Main Answer Sheets to the candidates after they are seated. Before distributing the question paper instruct the candidates to read the instructions printed on the main answer sheet without fail. 10. During the first 2 hrs do not allow anyone to LEAVE THE EXAMINATION HALL. 11. After 30 minutes do not allow any one to ENTER THE EXAMINATION HALL. 12. Take the attendance after 20 minutes. Get the signature of the candidates in the Attendance Sheet provided by Chief Superintendent office. Mark ABSENT for candidates who are absent. 1

a. Check whether the register number in the Hall Ticket and the register number written in the answer sheet are the same. This is important. Check whether the photo of the candidates in Hall Ticket matches with the person writing examination. b. Check if the date, session, Programme & Branch (Ex. Programme means B.Tech & Branch of study means Mech / Civil, and the name of the course (Subject) are written correctly by the student. Only then sign in the space for the Invigilator provided in the first page of the main answer sheet. 13. Be Vigilant and be constantly alert to find out Malpractice. 14. No Cell phones, Programmable calculators are allowed in the Examination Hall. If any student has Cell Phone, please take the cell and hand it over to the Chief Superintendent with details. 15. Candidates should not be permitted to leave the Examination hall during the examination time for any purpose. They can leave after handing over the answer sheet. 16. In case of an emergency or any doubt, call the Additional Chief Superintendent through the attenders. Do not leave the Hall under any circumstance without making alternate arrangements. 17. Main booklet contains 40 pages hence no extra sheets (except graph / A3 size drawing sheets / polar graph sheets) will be given to the students. 18. Announce time every 30 minutes. Announce the last 5 minutes. 19. As the final bell rings ask the candidates to stop writing and leave the hall after handing over the answer sheets. 20. Arrange the answer sheets in ascending order of the register number for branch/subject. Tally the candidates present and the number of answer sheets you have received. Check before leaving the examination Hall, So that no written answer sheets are left in the hall even by mistake. 21. Hand over the unused answer sheets and stationery to the Attenders or Exam Cell coordinators after 30 minutes. Chief Superintendent.
