Dear High School Guidance Counselors, The Jacksonville Chapter of the Savannah State University National Alumni Association would like to cordially invite your interested High School Juniors or Seniors to our 2012 High School Student Recruitment Luncheon. The luncheon will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 10:00am -12:00pm at Hidden Hills Golf and Country Club located at 3901 Monument Rd, Jacksonville, Florida. As Alumni of Savannah State University, the oldest Historically Black College in the State of Georgia, we recognize how important it is for High School students to be exposed to various educational institutions and the opportunities that they provide. That is why we would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Savannah State University and all it has to offer. Savannah State University has 22 undergraduate majors and degrees and four graduate degrees. The student to faculty ration is 18:1 which emphasizes a personal learning experience. Additionally there are several clubs, organizations, sororities fraternities and intramural sports. Savannah State is a member of the NCAA Division 1 AA, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Recently, Savannah State University was named the fourth popular liberal arts college by US News. We will also provide information on how to obtain various scholarships as well.
