A limited number of organizations will have the opportunity for a professional grantmaker to review a sample proposal and offer individual feedback. Participants will also enjoy informal networking, and a mid-morning information session on budgeting for overhead in grant proposals. No need to create a new proposal; send in a recent one or an almost-complete draft. Proposals should be no more than 5 pages, plus a one- or two-page budget. Educate, Inspire, and Transform: An Inter-Generational HIV Presentation and Empowerment Workshop for Women and Girls Hosted by: Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health Date: March 10 Time:9:30am-3pm Location: Chicago State University, 9501 South King Drive Cost: Free We invite girls (ages 13-19) and their role models and caregivers (mothers, grandmothers, teachers, social service providers, and counselors) and other adult allies interested in improving the health and well-being of all girls to join us for an educational workshop about HIV, healthy sexuality, and healthy relationships. Sessions will aim to increase the number of young women who know how HIV/AIDS is transmitted and believe HIV/AIDS is a serious health problem/risk for people their age. Accurate information and resources about HIV/AIDS, self-worth, healthy relationships, empowerment, and leadership will be provided. The workshop will encourage and foster discussions related to sexual health matters and HIV prevention messages with participants' friends and family members, extending the benefits of the event to the broader community. Seeking Group Facilitators A Loyola dual-degree graduate student in Social Work and Women's & Gender Studies is looking to connect with group facilitators for interviews about their use of ritual in groups with African American women. Her hope is to find a group of leaders using therapeutic techniques that are specifically relevant to this population. The group facilitators must facilitate groups that are at least 30% African American women although the group does not need to be exclusively female or African American. A case study details the experience of the YMCA of Greater Seattle in carrying out the Youth Program Quality Intervention (YPQI), an evidence-based continuous improvement model designed to strengthen the skills of staff and the quality of services in afterschool and youth development programs. A new summary of that study looks at the goals, successes and challenges of the five-step YPQI process - lessons that can be applied to out-of-school time programs everywhere Austin, Texas: Coordinating Data about Services to Drive Change This is a story about how a

importance of keeping the lights on afterschool. The deadline for submissions is May 1. Keep in mind that the winning artwork will be scanned and converted to a digital image, so students should avoid using textures or raised materials.
