Assistance Rendered Officer assisted EMS personnel. Warrant Arrest Jacob L. Arrington arrested on a warrant, misconduct involving a controlled substance in the 4th degree. Ambulance Request EMS personnel provided care and transport for a patient who may have overdosed on prescription medication. Assistance Rendered - Officer assisted EMS personnel. Medevac Animal Loose dog. Assault UDPS received second-hand information about an assault that had occurred on board a factory vessel fishing west of Adak. Information passed on to AST. Burn Permit MVA Damage Caller reported minor damage to her vehicle from an unidentified hit-and-run driver. Under investigation. Trespass Trespass advisement issued, per Bering Fisheries management, to a man no longer welcome on any of the business premises. EMS Other Services EMS personnel provided stand-by services during the annual Polar Bear Run. 03/05/12 Mon 1501 Impound A vehicle left long abandoned next to a roadway was impounded. Forgery Complainant received information from the IRS that another person was using his identity. An officer provided the victim with information regarding who he should contact in Oklahoma, where the fraudulent activity had taken place. Suspicious Person/Activity Officer assisted a woman who upon attempting to cancel a magazine subscription was told it would cost $450 to do so. Assistance Rendered Officers contacted a man who was dumping snow on another persons property. The man agreed to remove the snow he had already dumped. MVA Damage A driver who pulled over to clear something from his eye found that the snow on the side of the road wouldnt support his vehicles weight. No damage resulted from the vehicles sinking into the snow and mud. Public Safety Jessie D. Lara, 40 yoa, completed sex offender registration as required by law. Assist Other Agency Controlled drugs turned over to UDPS for destruction. Burn Permit Drunk Disturbance Restaurant employee reported an intoxicated man had cursed at her and her mother before leaving the facility. Officers located the inebriate, who said he had been ripped off by the restaurant, and suggested he might be better off politely discussing the problem. Medevac Assistance Rendered Caller reported a Facebook friend had been robbed in another state. He provided numerous details about the assault but was unable to provide an address or phone number for his friend. He was advised to tell his friend, should he be in touch with her again, to contact local police about the crime. Traffic Roads Public Works notified of current road conditions.

MVA Damage An officer located one of two drivers allegedly involved in an accident near the Unalaska Post Office, and learned that the collision had consisted only of one vehicle sliding into anothers tire. There were no damages or injuries. Found Property An ID card, returned to the owners father. Traffic Roads Caller reported the driver of a tractortrailer was apparently sleeping in his rig, which was parked in such a way as to inhibit traffic. An officer contacted the driver, who said he was tired after working all of the last eight hours. Traffic Roads Another tractor-trailer slid off the roadway due to the extremely slick conditions on Captains Bay Road. Traffic Roads - Public Works notified of current road conditions. Lost Property A wallet, of duct tape and army camouflage, lost somewhere in Unalaska. Theft Officer investigated the alleged theft of $3000 from a man found passed out in a bunkhouse hallway. After extensive investigation it appeared the drunk had given the money to a friend prior to his binge. Animal Loose dog, returned to owner. Traffic Roads - Public Works notified of current road conditions. Traffic Roads - Public Works notified of current road conditions. Public Safety Category 1 travel advisory issued due to poor road conditions. Traffic Roads Caller reported his vehicle was stuck in snow and was temporarily blocking a roadway. later. Traffic Crime Complaint about numerous vehicles parked around a fire hydrant. Vehicle owners were given warnings and management of the adjacent business was advised of the problem. Burn Permit Drug Law Violation Anonymous caller provided information regarding drug sales in Unalaska. Under investigation. Warrant Arrest Radek Kadoun turned himself in on an outstanding warrant for a petition to revoke his probation. Animal Loose dog. Welfare Check medical issue referred to the local clinic Animal Perturbed home owner reported his yard has become a dumping ground for several local dogs. Suspicious Person/Activity Caller requested that police document several unusual incidences in which a particular man regularly appears at the same place as one her employees. Animal Complaint about pet owners failing to collect piles of poop in a park. Assistance Rendered Taxi driver called because the man in her taxi was screaming, swearing and throwing money at her. The investigating officer learned that the inebriated passenger was upset about the cost of his taxi rides about town. An officer told the drunk to quit being rude. Trespass Unisea Security asked officers to issue a trespass advisement to a man no longer welcome on their property. Trespass Officer issued a trespass advisement, per Unisea Security, to a man no longer welcome on Unisea property. MVA Damage A fender-bender, resulting in minor damage to a taillight.

03/09/12 03/09/12 03/09/12 Fri Fri Fri 1605 1735 2029 Sexual Assault/Offense A processor was allegedly assaulted by a coworker while at work several days earlier. Under investigation. Assistance Rendered Trespass 90-day trespass advisement issued to a man who Unisea Security no longer wanted on their property. Traffic Roads - Public Works notified of current road conditions. Suspicious Person/Activity Officers investigated a report that a man who looked very similar to one of the FBIs Most Wanted persons had checked in at the Grand Aleutian hotel. No wanted persons were found. Traffic Roads - Public Works notified of current road conditions. Warrant Arrest Driver Alfonso Santiago Jr., 21 yoa, was arrested on an outstanding warrant after an officer stopped him for several traffic violations. Assault A squabble between two men about whether the window in their room should be left open or closed ended when one man threw a bunk bed ladder at the other. Joseph A. Logia, 37 yoa, was arrested on one count of Assault IV. Traffic Crime Complaint about an abandoned vehicle blocking snow removal efforts. Trespass Officer issued a trespass advisement, per Alyeska management, to a man no longer welcome on the premises. MVA Damage A driver backed into an unattended vehicle that was parked behind him, causing minor damage to both vehicles. The driver was cited for Failure to Exercise Due Care. Public Safety - Jozsef Gyongyosi, 53 yoa, completed sex offender registration as required by law. Domestic Disturbance Caller reported an ongoing argument at a neighboring residence. The dispute was verbal only, and there was no indication that any crime had occurred.
