Secondly the mission statement is apublic document to be shared with interested parties and stakeholders. The vision statement articulates to stakeholders where the business is headed and the imprint it wants to leave onsociety or its market. The statement also regulates the type of strategies used in the business by providingeveryone involved with a reference point to formulate such strategies. Thirdly in its description, a vision statementcan cover various periods of time from one year to infinite solely based upon what the business owner wants toexpress to the public. An effective vision provides a clear picture that stakeholders understand and believe can beobtained. Customers and others are able to relate to the vision because it manifests itself in their experiencewhen they deal with the business.
