SHELF Q2

84.21.8 Not found in the portfolio

86.71.31a-? I have a note that says it’s written as 86.31.2 etc and it says that
numbering is incorrect and that letters should be used. I think that
might mean the accession numbers on the prints were using
numbers AND letters to define each print. But I’m not sure so
maybe have a look to see if you can find any errors.

SHELF Q4

2001.57.14 3 prints are labeled AP 10; the remaining prints and portfolio are
labeled AP 15/15

1999.35.6 One image labeled AP; the rest are 18/19

1999.6a-f The prints (gelatin) do not have accession numbers written on them
or individual database entries so they have no identification if they
get separated from the portfolio

SHELF Q5

81.106.187 The prints are in individual folios but the prints and folios all have
separate accession letters. Since the folios only have text on them
and seem to accompany the prints they contain, I was wondering if
the print+folio should have one accession letter. However, at this
point all of these prints/folios are found under one database entry.

55.269 Not found in the database

ST1996.6.5 Accession number ST1996.6.5 was taken from the tag in the book
and it is correctly entered in Mimsy. However, accession number
1998.46.857 is written on the pages of the book. In Mimsy that
second accession number is identified as a rejected acquisition and
the notes say the number was assigned to a print that was already
in the collection. I did not remove either of the numbers but I did
update the correct Mimsy record.

SHELF Q7

81.106.180 Title misspelled and one artist’s last name is missing in the
database entry

G12708 J.F. Koenig piece; no database accession number

G12290 Susan Lowdermilk silk portfolio; no database accession number

SHELF Q8

81.106.179 The database number is actually 86.106.179.1-18 but it is one

record; the folios and prints are labeled with letters a through r

73.19 There are two portfolios with identical images but different cover
designs and different edition numbers. One is edition 12/25 and
the other is edition 22/25. Edition 22/25 is under this accession
number. The other one does not have an accession number.

G10879 Margaret Prentice green book; no database accession number

SHELF Q10

G10880 Rathbun “Points of Departure”; no database accession number

81.106.181 Two sections in the portfolio. The first contains text folios that are
labeled with only the accession number. The second contains
prints that are labeled with accession letters a through h. I don’t
know if that is noteworthy, but I put it on here just in case.

G12782 Toshi Yoshida cardboard portfolio; no database accession number

G9072 Morgan Walker black book with string binding; no database

accession number; a search for the artist produced a record but I
could not confirm it was this piece

1998.7.1-51 Not found in database; a search for the artist, Joyce Treiman,
produced 114 records but I couldn’t confirm this was one of them

SHELF Q11

G13540 Large cream-colored box; no database accession number; there are

vinyl records in the removable section (see the cutout along the
right edge) and the mat boards used are not archival

SHELF Q12

77.66 Found as 77.60a-k under one entry in the database but the book is
numbered without the letters and the etchings are completely
unlabeled

2001.118.2 “See”; the book is labeled 2001.118.2a and the cover is labeled
2001.118.2b but there is only one database entry under 2001.118.2.
I know this sounds strange but it isn’t- the cover and the book are
separate and are different sizes. They’re contained together in a
plastic bag.

SHELF Q13

73.16 Burmese Jakata; not found in database and had no other way to
reference it to search for a record

92.103 Empty portfolio; this seemed strange because most of the empty
portfolios are on the last shelves of the Q section

SHELF Q21

82.64.76.6 Incorrect number; found the item as a single entry under 82.64; a
note in the entry instructs to see doc files for a listing

G5713 and G5714 Are part of a portfolio of prints; the other prints have accession
numbers but they are not all sequential

SHELF Q22

40.7.1-17 and
40.8.1-17 Two books; the accession numbers correspond to color plates
removed from the book, which are now stored in boxes 139 and
140. The books themselves are not in the database and there is no
entry for image 40.8.2.

SHELF Q23

82.99.1-12 Strange accession numbers…take a look at the numbers on the

backs of the prints and you should see what I mean.

1997.228.434 and
1998.46.570-572 A portfolio with four individually titled/numbered inner folios; the
number 1997.228.434 must be incorrect because it brings up a
record for work by Francoli Carmen that does not appear connect
with this portfolio (which is by Karen Kunc); also, the title
“Bleached Pearls” in the database should be “Pleached Pearls.”

G6805 Hunter “Twenty Lithographs”; no database accession number

G9821a-q “Lira Nordastina”; no database accession number

G9823-9826 Little books in plastic bag; no database accession number(s)

90.20a-k Didn’t do this one because only one print (g) is in the portfolio; a-c
are listed on shelf R03, d is listed in box 210, and e-g have no
locations listed

SHELF Q24

Various numbers “Brecht’s Mann ist Mann” and “Puntila and His Servant Matti”; I
did not do these two; they have different non-sequential accession
numbers or only Gilkey numbers, the records in the database are
not all correct and some do not have database records

SHELF Q28

93.63.1-4 Four volumes in a box but only one record, 93.63, for all four
volumes; Ann says there should be four records, one per volume,
with labels on each volume

SHELF Q29

No number Red book entitled “Ottley”; no database entry or other identifying

number

77.65.1-4
(4 is a-k) Appear to be four volumes in one book. There are additional
similar volumes with similar issues starting with accession number
77.50-something through accession number 77.60-something. I
believe checking the doc files clarified some of the issues. I did
not make changes to the database for most (maybe all?) of them.
See note after SHELF Q31 entry.

SHELF Q30

No number Book “Oeuvre de M. Pompador”; no database entry or other

identifying number

SHELF Q31

No number Daulby’s Rembrandt works; no database entry or other identifying

number

NOTE: did only inventory locations for shelves 31 and 32 for items beginning with 77.

SHELF Q33

SHELF Q36

1997.228.81 Vinyl records in a folio; the records should accompany nine prints

items
