In the Bible, the act of lying with a man as one does a woman; ie: homosexual acts areforbidden as immoral sexual activities in several areas.1)It violates one of the 10 commandments:Exodus 20:14 – Do not commit adultery.Deuteronomy 5:18 – Do not commit adultery. In Hebrew
ףאנת אל
lo t'naof lo meaning No, do not, not and t'naof meaning tocommit adultery. So literally means not to commit adultery.Adultery: a violation of the marriage bed; all manner of lewdness or unchastityAdulterate: counterfeit, debased, tainted, corrupted, idolatrousSo immediately we see that the homosexual act violates even the basic of G-d'scommandments. By definition and description the homosexual act is also adultery, because it violates the marriage bed, but let's move on.
Genesis 1:27-28 cjb So G-d created humankind in his own image; in the image of G-d he created him: male and female he created them.(28) G-d blessed them: G-d said to them, "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea, the birds in the air and every living creature that crawls on the earth."
OK so we see here that G-d made mankind (the Hebrew word for man/mankind isadamah) in his own image, and he created them, male and female. OK he specificallymade them so they could be fruitful and multiply. Now I'm sorry but there is no way fortwo males to “naturally” be fruitful and multiply. Or two women for that matter. Thusimmediately violating G-d's design for mankind. Now as we continue, in Leviticus/Vayikra 18 we have specific rules regarding sex, sexualactivity etc, the entire chapter is about what is not allowed as far as sexualrelations/activities are concerned, but specifically in verse 22 it says:
Leviticus 18:22 cjb "'You are not to go to bed with a man as with a woman; it is an abomination.
Well that is pretty straight forward, does not leave any room for doubt. It seems toanswer the first question quite well. But let's continue. In Leviticus/Vayikra 20 verse 13 the prohibition is repeated, and with stronger wordingexplaining the consequence of the action. Not only is it an abomination, but it brings thepenalty of death.
