 What is morally wrong with Homosexuality?Before I get to your questions I think what must first be determined is that we bothhold to different moral standards. What is acceptable in your opinion may not beacceptable in mine. So this leads to an un-level playing field.But I do know what my morals consist of and are guided by. I believe in the G-d ofAvraham, Yitzchak, and Ya'akov, I believe that HE is G-d, and that HIS Word, the Bibleis now and always has been our moral guide. And that through and with that same Word,my “MORAL Values” are set.I want it made very clear and understood here. I am specifically addressing theactivities of homosexuality, and NOT the individuals. Any assumption to the contrary is just lashon hara/evil speech and stupid.Now the word homosexuality, or homosexual will not be found in the original scripturetexts as the word did not exist even in English until first used in print around 1869. Itis a compound word from
homogeneal
,
homogeneous
; meaning of the same kind or nature.And
sexual;
Pertaining to sex or the sexes; distinguishing the sex; ... as sexualcharacteristics, sexual intercourse. [Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary of the EnglishLanguage G & C Merriam Company Library of Congress Catalog Card number 91-179826isbn:978-0-912498-03-4]So in essence the word in it's common usage means same kind or same genus (gender)sexual intercourse. Such as boy – boy, girl – girl. And here in lies the issue. Accordingto my standard of morals (guided by the Bible as my moral standard) this is anunacceptable behavior/relationship/activity. And it is definitely not a “normal” nor“healthy” sexual activity.Terms used to describe homosexual activities in TaNaKh/Old testament;

kelev
= cur, dog, worthless as a dog
t'naof
= commit adultery
v'etzakhar lo tishkhav mishkhve ishah
= not man to lie with as lies with woman
v'ish asher yishkhav etzakhar mishkhve ishah
= man who lies with man as lieswith woman
S'dom
= sodomy, sodomite
et tov'avoutayikh
= detestable things of you

In the Bible, the act of lying with a man as one does a woman; ie: homosexual acts areforbidden as immoral sexual activities in several areas.1)It violates one of the 10 commandments:Exodus 20:14 – Do not commit adultery.Deuteronomy 5:18 – Do not commit adultery.In Hebrew
ףאנת אל

lo t'naof lo meaning No, do not, not and t'naof meaning tocommit adultery. So literally means not to commit adultery.Adultery: a violation of the marriage bed; all manner of lewdness or unchastityAdulterate: counterfeit, debased, tainted, corrupted, idolatrousSo immediately we see that the homosexual act violates even the basic of G-d'scommandments. By definition and description the homosexual act is also adultery,because it violates the marriage bed, but let's move on.
Genesis 1:27-28 cjb So G-d created humankind in his own image; in the image of G-d he created him: male and female he created them.(28) G-d blessed them: G-d said to them, "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea, the birds in the air and every living creature that crawls on the earth."
OK so we see here that G-d made mankind (the Hebrew word for man/mankind isadamah) in his own image, and he created them, male and female. OK he specificallymade them so they could be fruitful and multiply. Now I'm sorry but there is no way fortwo males to “naturally” be fruitful and multiply. Or two women for that matter. Thusimmediately violating G-d's design for mankind.Now as we continue, in Leviticus/Vayikra 18 we have specific rules regarding sex, sexualactivity etc, the entire chapter is about what is not allowed as far as sexualrelations/activities are concerned, but specifically in verse 22 it says:
Leviticus 18:22 cjb "'You are not to go to bed with a man as with a woman; it is an abomination.
Well that is pretty straight forward, does not leave any room for doubt. It seems toanswer the first question quite well. But let's continue.In Leviticus/Vayikra 20 verse 13 the prohibition is repeated, and with stronger wordingexplaining the consequence of the action. Not only is it an abomination, but it brings thepenalty of death.

Leviticus 20:13 cjb If a man goes to bed with a man as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they must be put to death; their blood is on them.
Now this shows the penalty is death. Now G-d was so serious about people not sinning hehad ONE penalty, death. This death in the days of Avraham was stoning, fire,separating them from Yisra'el, now it is the physical separation from G-d, a spiritualdeath if you will and life everlasting torment after our physical death.
Deuteronomy 23:17-18 KJV  (17) There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.(18) Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the (19) L-RD thy G-d for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the L-RD thy  God.
So we have scripture telling us there would be NO sodomites, No prostitutes from theChildren of G-d, and that even the money earned by a female prostitute or a cur(translated incorrectly as a dog, due to the fact that the term kelev = cur was aworthless man or as a curse “worthless as a dog” referring to male prostitutes.) into theTemple, because both the whore and the sodomite were abominations before G-d.So according to the TaNaKh/Old Testament G-d considers the sexual union of male -male, or female – female an abomination. That pretty much means it is morally wrong andvery offensive to G-d.But let's continue on,The union of a man and woman, ie; marriage was specified in the Bible as we seehere,
Genesis 2:24 cjb This is why a man is to leave his father and mother and stick with his wife, and they are to be one flesh.Matthew 19:3-9 cjb  (3) Some P'rushim came and tried to trap him by asking, "Is it  permitted for a man to divorce his wife on any ground whatever?" (4) He replied, "Haven't you read that at the beginning the Creator made them male and female,(5) and that he said, `For this reason a man should leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two are to become one flesh'? (6) Thus they are no longer two, but one. So then, no one should split apart what G-d has  joined together."
