WHY CONDUCT TRAINING NEED ANALYSIS?
Training need analysis is a systematic method for determining what caused performanceto be less than expected or required. Improvement is the focus of training. The trigger for doing a need analysis occurs when actual organizational performance (AOP) less thanexpected organizational performance (EOP).A training need analysis will provide a benchmark of the performance levels and KSAsthat trainee process prior to training. A TNA provides more than just evaluation process. Agood TNA ensures that only those who need the training attend, and provides the data toshow trainees why the training will be useful to them.3
