This surveywas notpaidforbyanycampaignorpoliticalorganization.Thesurveyfinds formerU.S. SenatorRickSantorumleadinghis closestopponentby13points (Santorum 37%/Romney24%/Gingrich21%/Paul3%/others 9%/undecided6%).Withonly5days untiltheprimary,Santorum’s strongimage(72% favorable/20%unfavorable)andrelativelyfewundecidedvoters (6%)puts him inastrongpositionto winapluralityintheLouisianaGOPPrimary. Santorumleads amongbothmenandwomen,amongallagegroups andinall6congressionaldistricts.Though currentlyrunningsecond,Romney’s strugglingimagecouldpotentiallyhinderanygrowth potential. Currently, Romney’simageis 49% favorable to 41% unfavorable.Though Gingrich appearsto beintheRepublicanprimaryraceuntiltheconvention, hiscandidacyclearlyhurtsSantorum’s positioninLouisiana.
