You got me on that one! The difference is, our book focuses on Americans, whose lifestyle is naturally unhealthy (sedentary, surrounded by unhealthy, calorie-rich foods) whereas in some parts of the world their lifestyle is naturally healthy (active lifestyle, and little access to meat and processed foods).

In America and many other industrialized nations, it does take some extra knowledge to know how to be healthy.

With regards to your second point, veganism is not a fad, it is a healthy way of life for many people and has been for thousands of years.

Thanks for reading and for your comments!

First, the author tells us it's not our fault if we aren't healthy because we don't have the necessary knowledge. Then some paragraphs later he says that the part of the world that is healthy has no knowledge about how to be healthy.

It is most unfortunate that the author does not differentiate between animal-source foods grown for thousands of years as the Creator intended, that did not produce the degenerative diseases of today, and the way most food animals are now produced. There is a difference and there are choices.

As to veganism, the author would do well to read what Sylvia Zook wrote in her book, "Eating After Eden," about this recommended fad. Ghandy stated over and over that anyone who claimed to be healthy on fruits and vegetables alone for a long time, was a fraud, including himself!

The writer also tells us all we need is "the right diet and exercise." No kidding!

He's also correct that his approach is stupid. And it's certainly not new!
