Description

A sociological journalistic project from late 2005 examining ways in which Czech female multi-media, film/video, and photo artists working in post-Communist Prague and surrounding areas tend to depoliticize their art and their feminism in a Western sense, both consciously and subconsciously disidentifying with both Western feminism and Communist gender politics by crafting a unique feminist visual politic informed by the recent cultural history of Eastern Europe.
