Cameron Highlands is made up of 3 maintownships at different elevations. Thefirst town you’ll see coming from thesouth is Ringlet, followed by Tanah Rataand Brinchang. Bertam Valley, KeaFarm, Tringkap, Kuala Terla andKampung Raja are the other smallersettlements located in the highlands.

RINGLET

- This is the first town you’llreach if you are driving up from Tapahway. At an elevation of about 1,200meters above sea-level, the climatehere is not particularly cool, as opposedto higher elevation towns like TanahRata or Brinchang. Ringlet is one of themain agricultural hubs in the highlands.

TANAH RATA

– This is the major townlocated in this magical Highlands. Thistown is also the administrative hub of Cameron Highlands where the most of government offices are located. Beingproducer of flowers in Malaysia; beprepared for a lovely sight of extraordinary flowers you won’t seeflourishing elsewhere in Malaysia! Driveup as high as 1500 meters above sea-level to get here and enjoytemperatures as low as 16c year-round.the main town in the highlands, TanahRata is well-served by a range of accommodation, eateries, shops, postoffice, money-changers, banks,hospital, clinics, travel agencies, touristinformation centre, a scenic publicgarden, golf-course, a bus station andtaxi stands. BRINCHANG

– Brinchang is about 10minutes drive or 3km from Tanah Rata.This is where you will find most of smaller hotels and food outlets .One of the attraction in this town is the nightmarket, “pasar malam”, is locatedhere.
