Salt Lake City Police Department Student Art Contest Guidelines Contest Theme: Anti-Drug

Competition is open to high school students in Salt Lake City Proper. Submissions may include computer generated-artwork, paintings, drawings or photographs. Submissions may be in Spanish or English. No group submissions. Only one entry per student. All artwork submissions must be anti-drug themed. All entry forms and accompanying submissions must be submitted to your school office by the end of school session on Friday, March 30, 2012. Salt Lake City Police Department representatives will collect artwork from participating schools. Any artwork received after this deadline will not be accepted. All submissions must be original, titled, signed, and suitable for public display. Submissions using copyrighted images or art will be automatically disqualified; artwork must be original. If submitting computer generated artwork, the document size must be generated in the full size of 22x28 at 300 dpi. Embed all linked files and outline all fonts. If submitting a drawing, painting, sketch, etc., the artwork must be 22x 28 which is a standard poster-board size. A completed entry form must accompany all submissions. Submissions will be panel-judged based on message creativity and co-relation to the theme. All participants will receive a T-shirt. Other prizes include: college scholarships, laptop computers, iPads and iPod Shuffles. Grand prize winners submissions may be used for public display as part of Salt Lake City Police Departments Public Awareness Campaigns. Winners will be notified in May 2012. Although we promise to provide reasonable care, Salt Lake City Police Department and its employees assume no responsibility and are not liable for lost or damaged submissions. Entries not meeting the specifications of these guidelines will be disqualified from the contest and will not receive a T-shirt.
