The majority of the public approached were aged 16-25 which is my TA, I also went with 10% of the older generation to find out their opinions as they could differ from the younger generation.

QUESTION 2

This question helped me to find out exactly how many of my TA do watch documentaries. 78% do watch documentaries at least once a week.

QUESTION 3

The reason why I asked what style of documentary individuals like to watch is so that I can decide which style I can use to produce my documentary. Although the general public prefer to watch an interactive documentary, I would go for an expository documentary as it goes with my theme more than an interactive.

QUESTION 4

The reason why I ask what documentary topics individuals like to watch was so that I could see if my chosen topic (technology) was going to be popular within my TA. Majority ticked the technology box as they said that there aren't many technology documentaries.

QUESTION 5

I wanted to ask this question as individuals have different preferences as a subtle, light voice does not portray a important tone whereas a deep authoritative voice does.

QUESTION 10

Documentaries are made to give factual and important information to audiences, included this question so that I could find out what % of people found documentaries to have an impact on their lives.

Findings . . .
In conclusion I have found out that my documentary genre is popular towards my target audience of young people to their late 20's as majority of them do watch documentaries often as one teen stated that he watches them because they come on channel 4 and BBC1 quite often. Although 50% of individuals said that they like to watch an interactive documentary I have decided not to go with that and go for an Expository documentary as I think it will merge well with my theme of technology.
