WRESTLING, called one of the Olympic Games,and as an athletic amusement was encouraged in theremotest ages, by which youth were enabled todisplay their muscular powers; not merely to amusethe populace, but to elicit courage, and thencetrained to an exercise, which might ultimately provebeneficial to some part of the community.

But there are many people who will hold out andsay, that it is of no use in the least, to learn the art of Wrestling, that it is so much in the blackgaurdstrain, that it is scarcely worth noticing; and I amconfident, myself, it is reckoned very low in theestimation of thousands.
