Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven andthe first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I sawthe holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven fromGod, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loudvoice from the throne saying,‘See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them;they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them;he will wipe every tear from their eyes.Death will be no more;mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.’

1 Corinthians 15 – Paul on the Resurrection of the Body
35 But someone will ask, ‘How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?’
Fool! What you sow does not come to lifeunless it dies.
And as for what you sow, you do not sow the bodythat is to be, but a bare seed, perhaps of wheat or of some othergrain.
But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body.
There are both heavenly bodies and earthlybodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one thing, and that of theearthly is another…
