In 2055 The United States is a 3,000 mile wide graveyard. Inside the country's borders, a war against the world is about to begin.

When Commander Harold Mitchell is murdered, Stone Rivers, an idealistic young graduate is called in to take command of Delta Squad, the "Go To" team of the New United Military Alliance. On his first day in charge, he loses his second in command.

Lieutenant Jade McKay should've been given command of Delta, but instead was put in charge of investigating Mitchell's murder, the very murder she's been accused of committing.

On the night she begins her investigation, a sinister branch of the government that will stop at nothing to unlock the classified secrets buried deep in her subconscious, takes her captive.

Elija Tyrell will do anything to destroy Jade, including going back through time to re-make the world they came from.

U.C. Director Antoine Pecho will do anything to get Jade back into his hands, where she belongs, including giving her to Tyrell.

Wednesday's Child: the chilling first installation of J.A. Carlton's Freedom Fighter Series. This taut socio-political thriller shines a terrifying light on technology in the wrong hands. From genetic engineering to government sanctioned genocide this series hits a heart-pounding mark that will thrill any sci-fi fan!
"The only reason I have to call it science fiction is because it just hasn't happened that we know of yet. What do you want to bet it's coming though?" - J.A. Carlton.

ProloguePinpoints of shimmering silver speckled the deep, velvet night sky. Summerbreezes kissed the faces of passers-by on the street.Of the multitudes wandering through the heaven-sent evening, only the one inthe cross hairs mattered. If he
‟d
been asked, Darien Rivers would have no idea why there was a man on arooftop across the street with a sniper rifle trained on him.As the bullet tore through his body, piercing and shredding his heart andshattering bone on both sides of his ribcage, Darien Rivers knew that he was dead, even before he hit the ground. If he
‟d
been asked, Darien Rivers could never have guessed why he was killedon that perfect night in 1997.
