IDM Internship Position DescriptionCenter for Information Technology in Education (CITE)
Multimedia DeveloperPurpose of Position:
Design and develop multimedia educational software for faculty and staff.An opportunity for practical experience in applying skills learned in IDMcourse work and to be creative and learn new skills within a teamenvironment.
Assist with the design and development of multimedia educational softwareutilizing a wide variety of hardware and software packages. Will work directly with a Northwest faculty as client on specific project for onlinecourse work. Will work with CITE staff on projects in a teamenvironment.
Communicate technical information in user-friendly terms and language.Have well-developed written and oral communication skills.
Computer Hardware / Software:
Knowledge of Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of software design tools, specified belowKnowledge of Windows operating systemsKnowledge of scanners, digital cameras, CD-ROM recorders, and digitizingvideo equipment
Ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks throughindependent learning
Exhibit professionalism and courtesyExhibit positive customer relations skills
Team Work/Team Leading:
Ability to work in a team environment
IDM major In-depth skill with graphic design tools including two or more of thefollowing: Flash, Director, Photoshop, Illustrator and PremiereKnowledge of web page design and HTML authoringKnowledge of scripting or programming languagesAttention to detail
