Train2Game Student Diaries Jonny Robinson at DR Studios – weeks 34 & 35Week 34
This week, I will be mainly eating ‘Pitches’.My word what a crazy little week it has been with my work load, I feel almost as if I’vebeen slapped with thesmelly fish of knowledgein that crazy Mini advert. Even afterbeing here for as long as I have I’m still under a constant learning curve; which is greatas I adore a good challenge.I’ve been working alongside Rory and Rudi (sounds like some cheesy 90s pop band)creating content for the next couple of games for DR Studios, but hush hush.I’m truly living my dream life but as everything in this world it comes with a price…Stress and lots of it. Trying to make deadlines is the worst, as it really forces me to rushthings which isn’t all that bad but as I said before it causes pressure, but hey, welcometo the game industry right and I didn’t think it was going to be easy. Now for my Commando Kiwi update;Lots of hard work has been done these past couple of days and it’s starting to look like agame I would want to play, so woohoo!Presentation practice is also coming along as I have been doing lots of reading onpresenting styles and I think I have found the best method to do mine for the MakeSomething Unreal Live, it’s just to be myself and have a laugh with it. I will be nervousas it means a lot to me and my team if we win, but if I can at least make the audiencefeel as if we are such fun people, maybe, just maybe, it will encourage people to vote forus at the show.Anyway people I’m Jonny and I’m out peace!
