 Transactional Analysis
Transactional analysis was developed by Eric Berne forpsychotherapy in the 1950s. The objective of TA is to providebetter understanding of how people relate to one another, so thatthey may develop improved communication and humanrelationship.
Transaction analysis is a kind of psychotherapy that (amongother things) analyses our everyday communication - why do wesay things , how do we say them and what made us say that.
It uses simple words such as child, parent and adult (these are thenames of our three ego states) to describe seemingly complicatedprocesses in our mind.
Transactional Analysis is a social psychology and a method toimprove communication. The theory outlines how we havedeveloped and treat ourselves, how we relate and communicatewith others, and offers suggestions and interventions whichwill enable us to change and grow.
