How to Assess a ComputerForensic Examiner
I am a certified computer forensic examiner whohas been practicing in the field since 2001. I haveworked on both criminal and civil cases rangingfrom child pornography to Intellectual Propertytheft. As I go through the talk you will find thatalthough there are some different constraintsbetween civil and criminal work in seizingevidence, as regards Forensic Process andProcedure there is only one right way.
 Expert Computer ForensicExaminer
The purpose of using a Forensic expert is so that the
evidence will be able to hold up in a court of law. Theevidence must be "trustworthy" and the person thatcollects and examines the evidence must be seen as
"trustworthy". In order for this to happen an
experienced Computer Forensic Examiner must bethe one to complete this task.
An expert will never work directly on the originaldata. The examiner will create a forensic image andwork with the copy of the data.
