IhavebeenemployedbytheFederalBureauofInvestigation(FBI)

aSpecialAgentsince1996,IampresentlyassignedtotheAmarillo,Texas,office
of
theFBI.Mydutiesincludeinvestigatingallegedviolations
of
thelaws
of
theUnitedStates,
to
includeTitle49,USC,Section46504,interferencewithaflightcrew,

Thestatementssetforthinthisaffidavitaretrueandcorrect
to
thebest
of
myknowledge,Thefacts
in
thisaffidavitcomefrommypersonalobservations,mytrainingandexperience,andinformationobtainedfroinwitnessesandotherlawenforcementofficers,Thisaffidavit
is
intendedtoshowmerelythatthereissufficientprobablecausefortherequestedwarrantanddoesnotsetforthall

myknowledgeaboutthisinvestigation,Imakethisaffidavit

anarrestwarrantforClayton

Osbon,3,OnMarch27,2012,Iwasnotifiedthat
an
aircrafthadbeendiverted
to
theAmarilloairport.WhenIarrivedattheairport,IobservedaJetBlueAirbusA320sittingonthetarmac,Ilearnedfromotherlawenforcementofficialsthattheaircrafthadbeendiverted
to
Amarilloandthepilothadbeenremovedfromtheaircraft,4.Ipersonallyinterviewedthefirstofficer
(Fa),
anotherJetBluepilotwhowasinitiallytravelingasanon-revemlepassenger,andtwo
of
thethreeflightattendantswhoworkedtheflight.According
to
thosewitnesses,theflight
in
questionwasflight
191
fromNewYork'sJohn
F.
Kennedy(JFK)Airport
to
LasVegas,Nevada.Thecrewmemberstoldmethatthecaptain,Clayton
F.
Osbon,showed
up
atJFKlaterthanheshouldhavefortheflightandmissedthecrewbriefing.Initially,hedidnotexhibitanybizarrebehavior.
As
theywereclimbingout
of
JFK,Osbonsaidsomething
to
the
Fa
aboutbeingevaluatedbysomeone;the
Fa
wasnotsurewhatOsbonmeant.Osbontalkedabouthischurchandneeding
to
"focus",Osbonaskedthe
Fa
totakethecontrolsandtoworktheradios.Osbonbegantalkingaboutreligion,buthisstatementswerenotcoherent.The
Fa
becameconcernedwhenOsbonsaid"thingsjustdon'tmatter".Osbonyelledovertheradiotoairtrafficcontrolandinstructedthem
to
bequiet.Osbonturned
off
theradiosintheaircraftandstarteddimminghismonitors,Osbonsternlyadmonishedthe
FO
fortryingtotalkontheradio.TheFObecamereallyworriedwhenOsbonsaid"weneed
to
takealeap
of
faith."Osbonstartedtryingtocorrelatecompletelyunrelatednumberslikedifferentradiofrequencies,andhetalkedaboutsinsinLasVegas.Atsomepoint,Osbontoldthe
Fa
"we're
notgoingtoVegas".Osbonbegangivingwhatthe
Fa
described
as
asermon.

ConcernedwithOsbon'sbehavior,the
Fa
suggested
to
Osbonthattheyinvitetheoffdutynon-revJetBluecaptaintothecockpit,Instead,Osbonabruptlyleftcockpit
togo
totheforwardlavatory.Thisoccurredroughly

hourflight.6.Osbondidnotfollowthecompany'ssecurityprotocolwhenleavingthecockpit,whichalarmedtherest
of
crew.Whentheflightattendantsmetwithhimatthefrontgalley
to
findout
if
anythingwaswrong,Osbonaggressivelygrabbedaflightattendant'shands.Osbonbangedonthelavatorydoorandtoldafemalepassengerwhowasinsidethatheneededtogotothebathroom.
