Very interesting with good insights - especially the analysis on the challenges experienced during the execution of the exercises. These challenges are common during multi-national exercises, but seem to be learned over and over again. I agree that these exercises do indeed have a "Show of Force" collateral utility, but without a rapid deployment capability it will remain only beneficial to the SCO as a reactive tool and course of action . The recent Indian crisis is a case in point. I agree and concur fully with the authors' view on the latter. Brig Gen L.R. Smith
