Innovation As A Cultural Phenomenon

We were briefed to write a two page persuasive argument in response to the statement:
\"Suc cessful organisations create competitive advantage through innovation. These organisations are not innovative by accident, they effectively manage the innovation process.\"

Which prompted me to be difficult and see society as an organisation and analyse how i though some societies innovated and others were left behind; as I unpacked it (its hard in just 2 pages!) I felt that the radical stance I was presenting (which I even have some reservations about) was best expressed in the dominant voice of propaganda.

Nice man, like it a lot. so do you think that there is a society that is open to the periphery? that has the \"dual nationality\"? france comes to mind for me, but nor sure how that would work in the west where meaning needs to be stabilised the whole time to ensure coherence (i think - my view). I mean, how would America act if they allowed constant critique and input from whoever and really considered that voice? i\'m not sure that they want that since they want a coherent enlightenment. On the subject of innovation, derrida speaks about innovation within self identity and archiving, and how any innovative act (perhaps the periphery) can never really know that it is innovative. i.e. only the other will know what is innovative, whilst the self cannot. If you interested i\'ll try find some more about where its from etc, but cool doc. when you posting your thesis? i want to read.
