Asalam-u-Alaikum wa-Rahmat-Ullah WabarakatuhAfter reading this,
Notice the words used in translation of the video as follows :Your
soul (
Ruh
)
what gives yourbody life. Your
spirit(
Nafs
)
is your free will and your emotions: love, hate, joy, sadness...Before I try to answer your question ( where does the Spirit go afterdeath ?), I tried to search on the internet for the actual meaning of the word
Spirit
inenglish language ,But I found only those meanings taken from the christianity into theenglish languge and found no distinct precise difference between
Spirit
and
Soul
inthe way which Qur'an teaches us and I find myself obliged to tell you the arabic wordsand try to explain the difference between them so as you understand them. And I wantyou to notice the arabic words (
Ruh
and
Nafs
(pleural:
 Anfus
)) to feel the difference.* before I start, I want to tell you what I found and understood about the meanings anddifference between the Soul and Spirit according to the Bible. After watching the following video on youtubehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gy_Q_wesh-Q  I understood the next :- The Soul according to the Bible:1- It is the breath of life which the god gave it to Adam and Eve2- Soul is eternal as god is eternal3- Soul can think as god thinks and take decisions as god takes decisions4- Soul was made in the image of god.5- Soul dwells in one's mind, emotions and will.- The Spirit according to the Bible :1- God is a Spirit.2- God dwelled in Adam's and Eve's Spirits before they commit the sin.

3- after they committed the sin their spirits died and god left their spiritswhere he dwelled.4- the person who does not believe in Jesus has no Spirit as it died with himat the birth of his life .5- In Bible Jesus said " I will save you, I will give you a new spirit, and then Iwill put my spirit within you, within your spirit".6- After believing in Jesus, one is reborn again and get a new spirit and theholy spirit comes to dwell in his spirit.NB: Unfortunately the words Spirit and Soul are used interchangeably in the translationof the meanings of the Qur'an leading to mistranslation and misunderstanding of thedifference between the two words, while the arabic words are very clear in describingthem. Also, there are no english words can be equivalent to the arabic words Ruh and Nafs* We belief that man is created of three things
1-
the physical body
:
2-
the
Ruh
: All what we know about is that It is
the breath of life

which Allah gave toAdam, Eve and jesus peace be upon them, and it is always attributed to the god, andnotice that it is (mis)translated into the english words Spirit or Soul interchangeablybecause there is no accurate or equivalent word with the same meaning understoodfrom the Qur'an in english language. And after the death of man it returns back to the God accompanied with angels.when it(the Ruh (human soul)) is taken at death, it is lifted up to the heavens just as the Hadithof Al-Bara' proves.*** We begin this journey in our mother's wombs. 120 days after conception the soulis blown into the fetus. Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mus'ud: "Allah's Apostle, the true andtruly inspired said, '(The matter of the Creation of) a human being is put together in thewomb of the mother in forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood for asimilar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angelwho is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his (i.e. the newcreature's) deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed orwretched (in religion). Then the Ruh is breathed into him'"[Bukhari]

And they ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning the Rûh (the Spirit); Say: "The Rûh(the Spirit): is one of the things, the knowledge of which is only with my Lord. And of knowledge, you (mankind) have been given only a little."

the
Nafs
(Pleural:
 Anfus
):

The Nafs is what you are and who you are ; your entity. It is what will be reckoned ,enter hell or paradise. it is that of one's self which uses thebody as an instrument, and thus governs and controls all parts of it in a comprehensivemanner. It is that part which is responsible for one's actions whether these actions aregood or bad (mind and will).and it is always attributed to human (Self). When someone begins to die the Angel of Death or Izraeel comes to take the Nafs out of the body and puts it in a place called the
Barzakh

where it (the Nafs ) is exposed to itsseat in
hell or paradise till the day of judgement and that is a real torture for those whowill see that they will go to hell and not paradise.
