Synopsis of Changes to the MRIS Rules and Regulations
From time to time the MRIS
®
Rules and Regulations are revised to reflect changes inNAR
®
policy, real estate regulations, or clarifications of the existing Rules andRegulations.
The following changes to the Rules and Regulations become effective onDecember 1, 2008: (Underlinedverbiage inBlueindicates addition to the Rules

ARTICLE V – NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THE REGULATIONS
Article V. – Non Compliance with the RegulationsSec. 3. Violations of the Rules and Regulations – Authority to impose sanctions MRIS may, through administrative and hearing procedures, impose sanctionsand take other appropriate action(s) for violations of the MRIS Rules andRegulations and other agreements and policies governing use of the MRISservice. These may include the following (which are intended as illustrative, butnot exhaustive list):C. The MRIS

Compliance Committee may impose one or more of the followingsanctions for any violation of the MRIS
®
Rules and Regulations. MRIS is notrequired to impose these sanctions in the order that they appear.1. a letter of warning,2. a letter of reprimand,3. Attendance at an appropriate course or seminar offered by MRIS,4 . an appropriate and reasonable fine.as specified in the MRIS® Schedule of Fees and Charges5 suspensionof the right to use the service for a period of not less thanthirty (30) days and not more than one year,6termination of the right to use the servicewith no right to reapply for aspecified period not to exceed three (3) years.Article VI. - Compliance CommitteeSec. 3 A Committee Chair and Vice-Chair shall be elected by the CommitteeMembers. The term for these positions will be two years. The Committee Chairshall preside over the meetings and perform other duties as necessary. TheVice-Chair shall perform all such duties of the Chair in his or her absence.Article X, COMPENSATIONSec.2 - Compensation specified on listings filed in the service shall appear in oneoftwothreeforms:
a) by showing a percentage of gross selling price;
