THE GAME
The Cleveland Browns (4-9) travel to face the Philadelphia Eagles (7-5-1) at LincolnFinancial Field this Monday, Dec. 15 at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN. The Browns are comingoff a 28-9 road loss at Tennessee last Sunday, while the Eagles earned an impressive20-14 road win against the New York Giants. This contest marks the Browns third ap-pearance on Monday Night Football this season. Cleveland is currently 2-0 this yearon Monday Night, as the Browns prevailed 35-14 over the Giants on Oct. 13, and a29-27 road win at Buffalo on Nov. 17.In the 28-9 setback at Tennessee, the Browns opened the scoring with a pair of
eldgoals of 47 yards and 41 yards by K Phil Dawson for an early 6-0 lead. Tennesseeresponded with a 28-yard touchdown pass from QB Kerry Collins to FB Ahmard Halland a three-yard touchdown run by RB LenDale White for a 14-6 halftime lead. TheTitans added a nine-yard touchdowns pass from Collins to WR Justin Gage in thethird quarter to open a 21-6 lead. Cleveland added a 39-yard

rst start in three years and made only his thirdappearance with the Browns since joining the club in 2006. Dorsey was 22-of-43passing for 150 yards and one interception. Browns receiver Joshua Cribbs led theclub with 24 yards rushing and attempted one pass, which fell incomplete, as he tooksix snaps from the shotgun formation. Browns RB Jason Wright led the club with 5 re-ceptions for 40 yards, while WR Braylon Edwards added 3 receptions for 38 yards.The Cleveland defense forced three turnovers on the afternoon, including two inter-ceptions by LB D’Qwell Jackson and a recovered fumble by DB Eric Wright. The Browns hold a 31-14-1(.684) regular season mark against the Eagles, including 14-8-0 (.636) on the road.The Eagles have won the last two meetings, including the last contest on Oct. 24,2004 with a 34-31 overtime win in Cleveland. The Browns won the last meeting inPhiladelphia, a 26-7 decision, over the Eagles on Nov. 13, 1994.The Browns and the Eagles were American Conference foes for three seasons (1950-52) and Eastern Conference foes for 17 years (1953-69). The NFL and AFL mergedin 1970 and the Browns joined the American Conference’s Central Division with Pitts-burgh, Cincinnati and Houston, while the Eagles joined the National Conference’sEastern Division with Dallas, New York Giants, St. Louis and Washington.

CLEVELAND BROWNS - ROMEO CRENNEL
Romeo Crennel is entering his fourth season as HeadCoach and was rewarded with a two-year contract ex-tension (thru 2011) on Jan. 29, 2008. Crennel led theBrowns to a 10-6 record in 2007, including a franchise-best seven consecutive home wins, and witnessed sixBrowns selected to the Pro Bowl. Crennel’s offensedeveloped into a highly productive unit and rankedeighth in the NFL in offense (5,621 net yards) and scor-ing (402 points). The output of net yards and scoringalso ranked third best in franchise history. Crennel wasnamed head coach of the Cleveland Browns on Feb. 8, 2005, the 11th full-timehead coach in franchise history. Crennel returned to Cleveland in 2005, afterserving as the Browns defensive coordinator in 2000, and along with Phil Sav-age helped rebuild the football operations. Crennel previously led the Brownsto a respectable 6-10 record in his
rst year as a head coach and added a 4-12mark in 2006. His resume includes 38 years of coaching experience, including27 years in the NFL. Prior to rejoining the Browns, Crennel served as the defen-sive coordinator for New England (2001-04), helping the Patriots to three SuperBowl victories. From 1997-99, Crennel coached the defensive line on the NewYork Jets. He spent 12 years on the New York Giants coaching staff starting asthe special teams and defensive assistant coach in 1981. Crennel began hisprofessional coaching career in 1970 at his alma mater, Western Kentucky. Healso saw stints at Texas Tech, Mississippi and Georgia Tech before entering theprofessional ranks.
