Really, because there is another phrase I can recall when it comes to situations like this being "looks can be deceiving." Considering the author has over 14 years of experience and is probably not a photographer, I can let little things in pictures go. When you talk about a martial arts practitioner, you must consider their teachers to which the author of the above has a long list as well as a good many friends in the same area. The real gold is not just in the pictures but in the informational text that accompanies them, look at the big picture, not just the book's pictures. One last thing, if you plan on training in weapons from a book without any formal training before-hand, then you are a fool. I love the last person the writer/practioner/Sensei thanks, helps you to remember we are all still HUMAN. "To err is human."
