SPEED DETECTION OFMOVING VEHICLE BY USINGSPEED CAMERAS

INTRODUCTION:
Although there is good road safety performance the numberof people killed and injured on our roads remainunacceptably high. So the roads safety strategy waspublished or introduced to support the new casualtyreduction targets. The road safety strategy includes all formsof invention based on the engineering and education andenforcement and recognizes that there are many differentfactors that lead to traffic collisions and casualties. The mainreason is speed of vehicle. We use traffic lights and othertraffic manager to reduce the speed. One among them is
SPEED CAMERA
.

DESCRIPTION :
A traffic enforcement camera (Speed Camera) is an automated ticketingmachine.
It may include a camera which may be mounted beside or over a road.
Other technologies that law enforcement agencies can use to measure thespeed of a moving vehicle uses Doppler radar to beam a radio wave at thevehicle, and then infer the vehicle's speed by measuring the Doppler effect-moderated change in the reflected wave's frequency.
Radar guns can be hand-held, vehicle mounted or mounted on a fixedobject, such as a traffic signal.
