TEACHER-CENTRED STRATEGY Teacher- centred strategy has been practiced by teachers since ancient time. The teacher plays a primary role. The teacher control all the teaching and learning activities in the classroom.
Characteristics of Teacher-centred strategy: 1. Teacher plays a primary and active role during the teaching and learning process. The pupils plays a passive role as listener or audience. 2. Carried out one-way interaction and communication between teacher and pupils. i.e. Teacher talk a lot and the pupils sit quietly and listen a lot.
PUPIL-CENTRED STRATEGY
The pupil play a primary role in the learning process. Pupils are encouraged to take active part in learning and The teacher normally plays a facilitating role and guide the pupils to learn either individually or in small group.
