It was the 11th of September, his rst day of work, His family were excited; he was lled with pride, When the young man reached his destiny along with the rest, He strode in the ofce, with condence in his stride.

He saw some planes approaching, but he didn't think twice, Too full of joy was he - he had a job at last! He thought they would avoid them, never thought of what instead, The planes drew nearer, and then there was a blast.

Chaos then ensued, his world turned upside - down, Cries of help lled the air, a most distressing sound... As the walls came crashing inwards, black smoke curled upwards, Panic was among them - and death was all around.

His family waited by the phone for news on his rst day, The news on the t.v was what they heard instead, They could only watch in horror as the towers collapsed, This would be the day that they would always dread.

Millions died that day, leaving their loved ones behind, Some jumped off in vain, others perished in the blaze, Everyone at the scene remembers them each year, Especially the victims' families: til the end of their days.
