Description
The main objective of this work is to make an overview analysis of the Google Book Search tool, inserting it in the context of book digitization achieved by the California company and disclosing the impasses concerning copyright its initiative involves. It aims to unravel the true nature of the tool, how it works, how it interferes with the bookselling market and how can this project serve as a device to enforce a copyright interpretation review. The investigation is the result of bibliographic research. It draws on authors such as Roger Chartier, John Battelle and Lawrence Lessig, among others.
