2011-2012 Board (Meal Plan) Scholarship Application

Thompson Hospitality is the largest minority-owned foodservice company in North America. In

coordination with Chartwells School Dining, we have provided foodservice management for
Duval County Public Schools since June 2009.
A one-time Board (Meal Plan) Scholarship will be awarded for the 2012-2013 academic year to
ten (10) students continuing on to post-secondary education at one of the following Historically
Black Colleges or Universities: Bowie State University, Chicago State University, Coppin State
University, Delaware State University, Edward Waters College, Elizabeth City State University,
Fisk University, Florida Memorial College, Mississippi Valley State University, Morgan State
University, Norfolk State University, Paine College, Savannah State University, Shaw University,
Texas College, Tougaloo College, University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, Virginia State University
or Virginia Union University.
Scholarship deadline: April 13, 2012
*Scholarships post-marked after April 13, 2012 will be returned to the sender with
no action taken*

Eligibility: Scholarship is open to high school seniors who intend to pursue post secondary
education at one of the previously listed Historically Black Colleges or Universities. Ten (10)
students will receive a one-time scholarship, which will be applied directly to their University
Board (Meal) Plan for the 2012-2013 academic year.
Requirements:
2.5 GPA and above
Submission of essay (500 words or less)
Acceptance into one of the previously listed Colleges or Universities
